I just finished reading the Marisol book, and I was surprised how central to the story her folklorico skirts were, much more so than the tap or jazz outfits!! I am surprised and a little disappointed that AG didn't make some for her. They were her most precious possesions!!!! I may have to make some myself, just to ease my mind . . .

Yes, they should have!
I don't know what they were thinking?
Addy's underwear works well! Marisol looks lovely in them. They are a good alternative, altough they are not as fancy.
I think that someone on here is sewing folklorico dresses for her that are really nice!

That what I thinkis so proposterous! The folklorico skirts wouldhave made her different from other dancers; is that what AG was thinking? I think it would have really sold.

I posted on this months ago...I too was struck by how little other kinds of dance are even mentioned in her book...I think Marisol had only done a little tap dancing with that neighbor lady, and she had only done ballet last year or soemthing, etc.- yet folklorico, her main kind of dance, the only one that she is extremely passionate about, is not even made into an outfit for her collection while other outfits are and they are really somewhat unimportant in her story.
I agree that beautiful folklorico outfits would have been a good seller. Its something they haven't done before anyway.

Here is a link to a woman on eBay who makes Folklorico dress for Marisol. I think at least one other hostboard member has purchased this dress from her:

Most of my sewing this year has been concentrated on Folkloric outfits. I have quite a few sewn and ready for the Christmas sales. If you look at my Hacienda album, you will see some of my designs.

I think I will make some of my own for Marisol. I have been doing some research on them, and I want them to be as accurate as possible. I am also working on getting a digital camera, so eventually all of you can hopefully see some pics!!
